There was a loud, screeching noise, it terrified Marilyn. She breathed deeply. She knew she would not let this stop her from finishing her journey. She was bone-thin, her legs felt numb from the walking, her hands bleeding terribly from the Shadow creatures that had nearly killed her. Her face had a beautiful pattern of scars, her hair a matted brown. She could not move as she heard this screech, her legs were frozen. She knew she was there. All the legends, if they were true, told that the Goddess lived here. No one dare speak her name, it was offending to her, they said. The truth was, they had all forgotten it. She had told the Human race years ago, the Elves were the only ones that seemed to truly remember. Marilyn would have stared, if she could move. For a moment, she felt like a statue, as if she was floating above her body. In a panic, she looked around desperately. She stared down at herself. The blood was beginning to turn black with the rest of the world, as she fell to her knees. Marilyn would have gasped if she could speak. What was happening to her? She was alive, she knew that, yet her body was just below her, with frozen dark blood. She felt something in front of her. She stared ahead - if you could call it staring - as her 'eyes' adjusted. In front of her she saw the sillohuette of a woman, though the glow around her was much too bright to see her face. Marilyn knew right away what this was. She felt her vocals adjusting to speak, though she knew her words could only be heard by her and the Goddess.

"Please, what is going on?" Marilyn asked. The Goddess shook her head, as if Marilyn knew so little. When she finally spoke, her voice was not strong and Godly as you would have thought, but more soft, almost a whisper. It was gentle and kind, yet Marilyn was amazed by it. "You have died," The Goddess answered. Marilyn looked around. She sighed. She made it all this way to die? "...Why?" Marilyn asked. The Goddess shook her head, grabbing Marilyn's arm, though it was more like a glowing figure of an arm, much like the Godess. Marilyn was unsure of what was going on, but let the Goddess pull her, as she knew she had no choice. "The legends say you will give me a wish if I come here...there's only one thing I want." Marilyn spoke. The Goddess whipped around, staring Marilyn in the face. "Yes," She answered. "But to speak to me you must die. What is it you want, human child?" Marilyn felt odd, meeting her for the first time, but managed to answer - "All I want is my own part of Amakon...my own part of the world. Please, I have nothing back home, just my Mahari, and she has run away. I want my own part of the world, a little hidden away area, with enchanted blue grass, blue leaves and beautiful blue trees - life is still there, only a few animals. It will be called...Effilon." The Goddess nodded.

"You will not be able to see it, however," The Goddess said. "The Afterlife is much different from what you Humans expect. It is dark, but you will be able to contact others and see humans you wish to see, but you will not," She motioned to Marilyn's dead body, which made Marilyn cringe. She couldn't believe she was lying there, dead. "be able to live again, or see the way a Human would. Is this still what you want?" She questioned. Marilyn nodded. "Oh, Goddess, before you do...what is your name?" The Goddess laughed an intimidating laugh, and smiled gently at her. "Terra." Marilyn then reached for the Goddess's arm, though she could not touch it. "Could you make it so...everyone remembers your name as well?" Terra nodded. Marilyn gave a smile, happy at how giving Terra was, she had expected her to be much different. Terra smiled at her. "Come, I will let you see your land, though you will not be able to touch it or truly feel it." Terra waved a hand, it waved gracefully there in the most beautiful way imaginable, Marilyn was nearly lost in just the way her hand moved. The black began to open up, showing beautiful blue, just as Marilyn had imagined. "Oh...it's wonderful!" She exclaimed. Terra said nothing. "And as you have wished," She told Marilyn. "Everyone remembers who I am, and my name, they have forgotten never remembering me, as if my name and image was always there."

100 Years Later

"Hey, hey," Called out Lily. "where are we?" She reached for her brother's arm. Tef merely shook his head. "We're in Effilon...this is her place. They say she watches over here. Her name's Marilyn...it's a legend a hundred years ago, she came here and asked Terra to make this here..." Tef grabbed Lily's small hand and breathed. "She is not bad, just the protector of Effilon, if you will. You have to be careful not to anger her..." Lily had heard about this from her mother. She was scared. "May I look around?" She asked. Tef nodded. Lily was old enough to be out on her own now, but still not old enough to truly understand death, though no one really did. Effilon was the most enchanting place she had seen, it was so very blue.

She saw a girl standing there in the leaves for a moment, with matted brown hair, her face scarred. Lily ran towards her, hoping to get some contact with other humans in such a strange place. The girl smiled, pressing a finger to her lips, as if telling Lily to keep quiet. Lily reached out to grab her hand, but as soon as she felt her skin, she vanished. All that was left was the leaves, which flew away with the wind, whispering a language no one could hear. Confused and scared, Lily ran back to Tef, clinging to his shirt. "Who was that, brother?" She asked. Tef looked confused. "What are you talking about? No one was there." Lily stared ahead, shocked.

No one was there...
